In 2012 Revelation Films (a Long Beach-based creative services company) partnered with the Light and Life Community Center to create the Act Out theatre program. We began as a small after-school, tuition free program offering a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity for at-risk and traditionally underserved youth to discover their creative potential! We have since grown into a community theatre and arts outreach program serving ages 6th grade and up. We offer a safe and creative environment for teens and adults to participate in arts workshops and professional theatrical productions. Serving in the heavily gang influenced communities of Long Beach, CA, we provide people with alternative activities that enrich their lives and stimulate the entire neighborhood! We offer opportunities to participate in twice per year tuition free theater productions, summer acting workshops, summer showcase, and additional workshops in set design, costume design, lighting, make-up, live audio, photography and video production. The Act Out Theatre Company represents collaborative community partnerships committed to making a lasting impact benefiting mankind!
